Raindrop Technique

Its been awhile since my last post. We had a little incident with our computer. We use a laptop and it was left laying on our couch (i know, insert doom music here). Well, our very sweet and very fat (10.5 lbs!) toy poodle, Lucy, decided to jump down from her perch atop the couch onto the closed laptop breaking the screen. EEEK!! Luckily, we have smart friends and thanks to one smart friend's generosity, I ordered a new screen and I'm back in bloggy business.

A few weeks ago, I attended a CARE Intensive. CARE stands for Center for Aromatherapy and Raindrop Education. Whew! That's a mouthful...I'm glad they abbreviate. In my CARE Intensive weekend, I learned so much. The Chemistry of Essential Oils, VitaFlex Technique, Raindrop Technique and Emotional Release. It was so incredibly eye opening and it was a wonderful experience. If you want to know more about CARE, click here.

I want to talk a little about Raindrop Technique and skim the surface of how it works.
First, I want to say that anyone can do Raindrop, anyone. Its not just for massage therapists. Raindrop is a technique used for many different purposes, but they are always linked to healing. Its a method of applying a series of specific essential oils in a particular order to layer them onto the body. The treatments starts with the feet, then the client is asked to lay on their stomach to complete the treatment on the back. Some people have had incredible breakthroughs with relief from chronic pain with one treatment while some people do a weekly treatment simply to boost immunity and maintain good health. Whatever your reason for doing or receiving Raindrop, its just not always possible to have the full treatment. Some people will do the food portion of the treatment on themselves when they don't have a partner to apply to the back. Its a great solution. However, sometimes, you just don't have time to sit down and administer the treatment. This is where Raindrop in a Bottle comes in. Its great in a pinch. I will say that I do not think Raindrop in a Bottle would be as effective as the full treatment in which the oils are layered on the body rather than being applied as a blend.
Raindrop technique works with the  body's systems to bring balance and eliminate "bad" bacteria. Raindrop focuses on applying Young Living Essential Oils to the spine points on the feet and then topically on the back over the spine. The oils used in Raindrop, Valor, Oregano, Thyme, Basil, Cypress, Wintergreen, Marjoram and Peppermint, are powerful alone, but even more powerful in combination. Viruses and Bacteria seems to find a happy home in the area of the human spine. Some people are chronically ill or chronically in pain because of this build-up. Raindrop helps to eliminate this from the body. It also helps to restore the body's systems to their proper working order.

Have you had a Raindrop? What is your favorite thing about giving or receiving Raindrop? How does it make you feel?

Until Next Time,
Julie

  1. How, where, and when do you apply. How often. Love this idea. Thanks I could use this by myself.
