Happy New Year!

Wow! My family had a very busy 2014. The end of 2013 and all of 2014 was about growing, stretching and finding our purpose. It was kind of like being on one of those crazy long tunnel water slides. There were twists and turns, we had no idea when it would end, but knew that there was still light because the tunnel was glowing with the light from the outside. Mid year, we started to see the light at the end, things took one more crazy turn and we've landed in the safety of the water in the pool below. We know who we are, our mission is clear and we're working toward our next goal. I'm so thankful for that journey, but I sure am glad that part of our lives is over. God used it as an opportunity for us to learn, make connections and gain perspective. I met more people in 2014 than I would have met in three years without the experiences we had. Those new friendships alone would have been enough reward, but as He always does, God was grooming me to be ready for the next step. And for that, I'm so thankful!

Our family has decided that I will be working from home starting today! We're celebrating this new found freedom of time and we're growing as we learn to better budget our money and our time. This has been our goal since we began our Young Living journey in August of 2011, but its now a reality. In just 3 years and 4 months, we were able to share from our hearts and help others grow their businesses, while growing ours as well. We're not rich, by any stretch, but we have enough, and that was the goal. It started with Wellness. When we started Young Living in August of 2011, we were desperate. We knew that life could be better and that we could live without being at the mercy of allergy season or whatever virus was going around at the time. Once we were living in the freedom of health, we discovered our Purpose. It was to share this amazing gift we had been given. This took a lot of growing on our part. When you have good news to share with your loved ones, they don't always share your excitement. And that is okay. We found that sharing gently, using our oils, offering opportunities to learn more and not being afraid to say "I don't know, let me look that up for you," was key.  (Please note : You can't talk oils in every single conversation or for every time there is an illness. I know its hard because you're so insanely excited about what is happening to you. But that makes people feel like you don't actually care about them. It makes them feel like you have an agenda. And let's be honest, no one likes that.) Now we're experiencing Abundance. Our "extra income" out-grew my take-home pay from my 40 hour per week job. I honestly had no intentions of making the move to just mommy until June of 2015. At Thanksgiving of this year, our little 4 year old man made it abundantly clear to us that he needed more Mommy. We felt like it was just God confirming all of the things he had been preparing us for and it was time to make a move. The funny thing about God's timing is that it rarely syncs with our own timing or ideals about how things will pan out. But His timing is always perfect and you just have to trust and move in obedience.

Is any of my story striking a chord with you? If you would have told me four years ago that my friend would invite me to a class to learn about oils that could help me get rid of allergies, nix asthma, eliminate my son's eczema, help us all sleep better and, oh, don't forget, make me a work at home mom all before my son's 5th birthday, I would have probably stopped talking to you. Because what you were saying would have been NUTS...utterly impossible. But it wasn't impossible and it wasn't nuts. Today, its our reality!

If you're still on the fence about essential oils and want to know more, please contact me. I would love to answer your questions and to have you on my team. My success is not uncommon and I'm not even close to being the fastest grower or the most successful. There are families on my team who have accomplished what took me three and a half years, in under one year! It is possible and it is real. So here's to an AMAZING 2015!
